About the Role

We have an exciting full-time opportunity to work with Taurfish for our Australian client; a family business that has operated for over 25 years in importing and selling Lighting and Electrical goods, serving both trades people and the general public through physical showrooms in several Australian states as well as a busy online store.

We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to join our team as a content writer. The key responsibility of the content writer is to create original content for use across our client's website, social media, catalogues, product brochures and other digital and physical mediums, including research, copywriting, graphics and technical work. The role works very closely with their digital marketing agency, who provides the SEO strategy, from which the Content Writer creates and delivers content for their website.


  • Developing and maintaining the content development plan, collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, Product and other relevant departments and team members.

  • Creating unique, simple-to-understand and user-friendly content for using good SEO techniques.

  • Researching products and their applications to ensure content is relevant, accurate and useful to various customer segments.

  • Creating Blog posts covering industry news, showcasing customer jobs using client's products.

  • Optimising web site pages for SEO, including updating and maintaining H1 Tags, Meta Titles, Meta Tags and Meta Descriptions.

  • Writing new content and editing & proofreading existing content.

  • Contribute to the content creation of paid campaigns and work alongside the Marketing department to plan, develop and analyse social media content across multiple brands.

  • Improving online customer experience through content design & development.

  • Promoting our brand and services in line with our vision, purpose, values, and behaviours.

  • Keep up to date with digital trends to contribute to recommendations and improvement opportunities.



  1. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in marketing, mass communication, or a related field or relevant experience.

  2. At least two years’ experience in a similar role

  3. Demonstratable knowledge in copywriting

  4. Excellent written communication skills are a must

  5. Strong verbal communication skills to be able to communicate with business stakeholders and our marketing agency

  6. Demonstratable knowledge of content management software

  7. Demonstratable experience in SEO best practices

  8. Ability to absorb complex technical information and convert into simple-to-understand content.

  9. Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills.

  10. Very self-driven and motivated to learn and continuously improve

  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  12. Permanently resides in Metro Manila and be able to attend onsite training on a quarterly basis in Makati, BGC or Ortigas.

  13. Have own laptop/desktop with Windows OS, good quality headset, internet broadband of at least 20mbps, and own mobile phone

  14. Have a location at home that is quiet, secure, and amenable to working from home (picture to be provided)


  1. Experience working with Magento

  2. Web or graphic design or a related field may be advantageous

  3. Knowledge of CSS, HTML and basic front end web development concepts

  4. Previous experience working with Australian clients / customers
