Selected READ⁴ work

Ideas made into
working software.

Three examples of applications delivered using READ⁴: Discovery → Design → Development → Deployment.

01 / READ⁴ in practice

From spreadsheet to web application

The starting point

An Excel-based finance process provided the starting point. Its workflow and data needed to become usable through a dedicated application.

The READ⁴ approach

Discovery unpacked the spreadsheet’s underlying workflow and data requirements. Design translated those requirements into a browser interface. Development rapidly converted the process into working software, with Deployment bringing the application into use.

What was built

A purpose-built web application for the finance workflow previously handled through Excel.

Why it matters

This demonstrates a practical route from an existing spreadsheet process to usable software through the READ⁴ lifecycle.

02 / READ⁴ in practice

From game concept to mobile application

The starting point

A game concept needed to become a working mobile experience, with clear behaviour and an interface people could use.

The READ⁴ approach

Discovery clarified the concept. Design translated it into product behaviour and a mobile experience. Development used rapid iterations to refine the working game, carrying it through the READ⁴ lifecycle to a usable build.

What was built

A working mobile game application developed from the original concept.

Why it matters

This demonstrates rapid movement from an idea through product design and iterative development to working mobile software.

03 / READ⁴ in practice

From requirements to live website

The starting point

A community-oriented use case needed a web presence shaped around actual content, functional requirements and audience needs.

The READ⁴ approach

Discovery gathered the requirements. Design organised the content and experience around the audience. Development rapidly built the purpose-built site, and Deployment made it available to use.

What was built

A live website serving the community-oriented use case.

Why it matters

This demonstrates the complete READ⁴ path from requirements to a deployed, usable website.
